I have 2 computers that are separated by 100 meters of cable that would be suitable for connection CAT 5 or Cat 6. After connected the adjustments that must be done on the computer how to detect the net should be the IP address, DNS, etc. I need a username and password to use the net to make any problem? please help thanks

First, you are describing a cable connection, no connection Wi-Fi (wireless fidelity) connection. Cat 5 cable will easily last 100 feet. In fact, it is good to 300 feet or more. Make sure the cables do not go near sources of electrical interference, such as refrigerators, AC / units, ovens, etc. Anything with a compressor or fan motor that will cause interference in a network line. Linksys router is a good buy, but beware, the customer service bites! They will be more than happy to be on the phone with you during working hours in circles, so it's not for lack of effort, just lack of knowledge. If all you want to do is share an Internet connection, configuration is very simple. Plugs broadband line to the modem. The modem plugs the router (the port should be labeled). Teams in the mains plug in the other ports on the router (usually labeled 1, 2, 3, etc..) sure to follow the configuration instructions that come with the router, such as different brands, different measures are needed. While DHCP (Dynamic Host Control Protocol) is enabled on the router will assign IP addresses to each computer and should not have to do nothing. So you need a user name and password, which will be entered in the router configuration when you select the Internet service that will use (in his case, probably DSL). Once they are in memory of the router, it will automatically log back in to their service when turned off and on.
